Hong Kong EV Trips to Mainland China: A GB/T to CCS2 Charging Guide

Taking a Hong Kong electric vehicle into mainland China starts with one practical question: will your vehicle's charging inlet work with the charging stations along your route? A GB/T to CCS2 DC adapter can help compatible CCS2 vehicles use GB/T DC charging infrastructure, but the connector names alone do not establish compatibility.

1. Identify the charging inlet on your exact vehicle

Check the vehicle itself and its owner's manual. Record the model, model year and original sales market, and take a clear photo of the inlet. Regional versions of the same model can use different connectors or software. A brand badge, or a Type 2 AC connection, is not enough to confirm CCS2 DC compatibility.

2. Match the adapter direction to the charging station

The WityPower GB/T to CCS2 DC adapter is for this connection:

GB/T DC charging gun → adapter → compatible CCS2 vehicle.

It does not convert a CCS2 charging station for a GB/T vehicle. It is also different from an AC GB/T-to-Type-2 adapter and a V2L discharge adapter. Check both ends before buying.

3. Choose between 300A and 400A

Version Price (CNY) Compare-at price (CNY)
300A 3,900 4,480
400A 4,200 —

The current rating is the adapter version's limit, not a promise of a particular charging speed. The vehicle's DC charging capability, charger output, battery state and temperature also affect actual power. Confirm the suitable version for your vehicle and planned charging setup.

4. Check charging networks before you travel

Share the charging networks and stations you intend to use when asking about compatibility. Charger firmware, vehicle software and network settings can affect the result. Compatibility with a CCS2-equipped Tesla vehicle does not mean the adapter works at Tesla Superchargers in mainland China; proprietary networks need separate confirmation.

Check the station operator's current access and payment arrangements, save a backup charging location and leave a practical battery reserve for the journey. A product photo at one vehicle or station is an example of a connection, not proof that every version or network is supported.

5. Plan delivery and the first use

The adapter ships from China, usually within 2–3 days after payment. Shipping is included to mainland China, Hong Kong and Macao. This shipping offer applies specifically to this adapter; the general wallbox shipping terms elsewhere on the site do not apply to this offer. Dispatch time is not a delivery guarantee, so allow time to receive the adapter and confirm the intended setup before your trip. Check the selected version's availability and the complete checkout total, including any applicable taxes.

Follow the adapter, vehicle and charging-station instructions for connection and disconnection. Stop charging before disconnecting, and do not use damaged connectors or force a connection.
